Requiem

Thank you all for your sweet comments and for rejoicing with me =) It's a lovely thing to share.

It's been so busy here that I haven't been very crafty of late, but tonight rehearsals begin for a new musical venture, participating in the chorus for Verdi's Requiem. You can listen to the entire fiery requiem here, and I beg you to listen to the last sixteen minutes at least; the ridiculously beautiful Libera Me. I'm a little nervous, having never been part of a formal chorus before, much less on such a grand scale. There are a bunch of notes to write into the score, saying things like "look out for unprinted rallentando." "Look out for unprinted stringendo." "Observe all dynamic markings and accents and exaggerate." Or, "Sotto voice."

So tell me, what are you listening to these days?

That must feel great! Don't feel nervous. You are the world.

I am listening to Fayrouz (otherwise spelt Fairuz) :) A lot of her newer songs composed by Ziad Rahbani..I don't know if you know her but I hope you do, she has a beautiful voice!

I was part of a formal chorus, and it was mindblowing. Everything was absolutely worth it!

I'm going to have to go check out the youtube link, it sounds like it is amazing! You'll do great, girl! We've been listening to a lot of praise and worship. Christ for the Nations, Matt Redman, Kari Jobe (my fave).

Sounds lovely!

I've been listening to the Little Women soundtrack (Thomas Newman) and Classic Yo-Yo for some cello inspiration :)

Praying for you my friend!
