Scrapbooking Summer

Hello ladies,
Over the past few weeks I've started getting pictures from the states organized and scrapbooked. The photos don't have a lot of detail, but I'm pretty happy with how most of the pages turned out.
On Thursday morning (well, really late Wednesday night) my dad and I leave for Japan. We'll be gone for about a week, mostly in Tokyo but also in Kyoto and possibly Hiroshima. We fly into Osaka. I'm so excited! Particularly to just wander around, find fresh local sushi, see Harajuku and the colorful youth culture, and I plan to look for a new Blythe doll! I'm more of a people-watcher than a tourist, but my dad and I will have to balance things out a bit. It's kind of for my eighteenth birthday, using the airline benefits.
If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be?
I'd love to go to Bosnia, the Mediterranean, and Paris again, but right now all I can think about is Japan. And this, even though it's unrelated.

Lovely Package: Wrapping edition

Packaging this up was the best part! I loved wrapping these little surprises and making them look as pretty on the outside as the inside. Below is the actual package with everything inside, which was then covered with brown paper and addressed. I experimented with using doilies, lace, my flowers as usual, scarves, and my new favorite - old paper tags with string. It turned out well and really won me over to putting lots of effort into the presentation of a gift. It was nice to have a challenge to do so! It's on its way to Berlin, Christine =)

Lovely Package: Sent Edition

This is the contents of the lovely package I sent, which is now on its way to Germany. Later I'll share the wrapping, which was the funnest part! I had so much fun picking things out - local Leavenworth soap in Washington, a purse made from an old sari, bought in Pike Place, Seattle, Dubai art postcards, handmade art journal, embroidery, handmade Leavenworth candle, tea, a scarf, and plenty of flowers. My partner likes color, paper, candles, and fabric, so I hope she enjoys the package! It reminded me why I don't send many packages though - postage from Dubai; oh my goodness!

And a rare silly picture - I love cat eye glasses!

Summer Art Journal

There were only a few (but still a few) parts of my heart that were not written here this summer.
