Dear Sunny, when you clean your tail it is the cutest, because you hold it between your paws. Dear florists, why are you so expensive? I am not paying 800 dirhams for my bouquet. Dear Marsik, I hope you become our cat after we are married, because you are the prettiest and fluffiest thing ever. Plus you live with our stylish Russian friends so that really raises your attractiveness. Dear Nicky, you are amazing at taking engagement pictures, even if we had to go back and take more when I was hungry because the sky suddenly turned bright pink. I can't wait to see them. Dear bridesmaids, you are going to get to pick your own dresses, isn't that fun? Dear Leader Hunt, I'm very excited to dress up for you. I'll wear jeans and no one will recognize me. Dear wedding and registry websites, thank you so much for being free, it's very nice of you. Dear Joel, you are my favorite.

Pretty Camera

Thank you so much for all of your sweet notes and congratulations!! As if this could be any happier, all of the shared rejoicing by our friends here and far away is an added blessing.

Before this little blog gets inundated with wedding ideas and plans (or completely neglected), I'll share a few finished projects from over the past few weeks.

This one, a cover for my canon camera strap, was on my list for a long time and finally got stitched up - it was a really easy craft, using the strap itself as a pattern and cute fabric from Katie. It was a little hard to take pictures of though, being attached to the camera! This also meant I got to check off something on my '18 before 19' list - 'Make stationery case and camera strap cover.' Something else on the list also got checked off recently - can you guess what it was?

Maybe I'm still listening to the Libera Me every day.
Maybe it's 3 p.m. and I'm wearing a pencil skirt but still a pajama shirt.
Maybe I finally bought pale turquoise paint for my hallway.
Thankfully, the chorus practice was unintimidating and exciting.
Maybe I was planning to wear red lipstick to church on Friday but chickened out again.
Maybe I'm really behind on thank you notes (even though I love writing them).
Maybe I'm also really behind on emails.
And, quite possibly, I write down every text Joel sends me because I hate how my tiny inbox fills up and has to be deleted.
Maybe, I'm also a very bad blogger. No, definitely, and that doesn't bother me.


And just because my little sister is cute and pictures of girls and cats are beautiful.

17 -- 50

I made a scrapbook page last year that has carried on into this year. It's 50 things I love, at the age of 17. Of course there is a new one for 18, but I'm being careful of what goes on it because the year isn't even half over yet ;) It's like a thankful list, and ranges from the heart to the silly, in no meaningful order whatsoever.
